Intro Blog for "Cleaning with Amanda"

Ok, where do I start with this new blog - I feel that having been in the residential cleaning business for nearly 8 years its time to share a few things I have learned.  Stay tuned for ideas, tips and my own personal experiences - if you have cleaning tips and experiences to share, I would love to hear from you too!
I started cleaning for a friend of a friend over 8 years ago when my 2nd child started school full-time.  Not wanting to re-enter the workforce so I could be home for my children before and after school I took on this part-time job thinking it would only be a temporary stint that would last only a few years.  I am not sure if I want to quit the profession completely but the stirrings of my heart are quite compelling and as you can see in the side panel, I am a polymer clay artist and teacher. The creative side of my psyche is grasping for change! But as I try to transition from cleaning to jewellery making and teaching, I will hardpressed to find the kind of income I generate cleaning houses.    The income is good and I really do love my clients. The work has been steady and I have never had to advertise, with the exception of finding one of my first clients via our local newspaper.   I have been so fortunate and so blessed to have have met and cleaned for the some of the most kind people - people who have become friends and who have had much influence in my life. You have to wonder how any one would find that such a menial job could be considered in this light, but I have to tell you firsthand that cleaning for people in their personal spaces can have quite the impact on you and your life in ways you wouldn't think possible.  Stay tuned as to why I believe this.  Lots of tips, and experiences are heading your way!
